1950 FORD DELUXE FORDOR SEDAN  --  $12,000

77,000 original miles, Sheridan blue with gray cloth interior, one family ownership since new, no accidents or body damage ever, $40,000 frame-off restoration completed in mid-1990s at about 60,000 miles, carefully maintained since then, shown occasionally and driven at least weekly. Currently registered in Maryland with clean title. Always garaged, stored for 25 years before restoration, currently kept in heated / air-conditioned garage.

Rebuilt flathead V-8, NOM but correct 1950 8BA motor with hardened valve seats (runs on unleaded gas), 100 HP, 3-speed trans with overdrive. All body, frame, paint, mechanical, electrical, and upholstery work complete and showing little or no wear. All restoration work documented with receipts and photo album. Car is all stock and original with exception of seat belts (welded floor mounts) and Coker whitewall radials for driving safety. No factory options except heater / defroster. Clutch, brakes, battery, suspension components (shocks & idler arm) and radiator hoses done within the past couple of years. Some spare parts (carburetor, NOS oil pump, generator, etc.) and original service manual included.

The only imperfections in the car are 1) there are two minor oil leaks (differential and trans seals) that each drip about one teaspoon a month; 2) one of the door lock knob connecting rods has detached; and 3) the electro-mechanical overdrive works properly most of the time instead of 100% of the time (this does not bother me because I do not do much highway driving). Otherwise everything works as it should and the car is in excellent overall mechanical and cosmetic condition. This car is a turnkey driver that runs fine and needs nothing.

This is not a must-sell situation, so no lowball offers please. No trades. Feel free to ask questions, and I will provide prompt, honest answers. I am not a dealer or broker, so no financing or time payment requests please. $500 non-refundable deposit required within 5 business days of auction closing; balance by electronic transfer or cashier’s check due within 10 additional business days. Will deliver locally (DC metro area).

Buick Skylark 1970. Here is a partial list of what been done to this car: Interior redone with total Dynamat installation, stock appearance, 383 Chevy Stroker 470HP, electronic ignition. Electric fuel pump. Doug’s headers, Flow Master exhaust, stainless 2-1/2” welded pipes. New Chevy trans beefed up with shift kit, 2300 Stall torque converter, and bang plate, extra 3000 Stall converter. Gear Vendors over drive under making it a six speed automatic. 12 bolt posi-traction rear. 90-20 front shocks and beefed rear shocks gives it a beautiful stance, front and rear anti sway bars and UMI rear adjustable 4 link suspension. Front disc conversion with hydro boost. Old School American Mags. And many little things I can’t remember right now. Close to or over $50k invested. I never wanted to know the actual total because I’d be crying. The car has maybe 2,000 miles on it since it built it. Only local shows and an occasional trip to Jimmy Cone.I’m asking just $25k firm. $30k with United car hauler Trailer with built in cabinets and spare tire as a package. If the car goes alone then I’m asking $6K for the trailer. I bought it new just to store the car in so it wouldn’t get damaged sitting in an open garage. It does not have hardly any mileage on it. It went to OC once and back and forth to Jefferson Md from Damascus a few times. That’s it.Also most of the vulnerable parts of the car has 3M Clear Tech film applied over the paint to protect it from chips and dings. That alone cost over $1,800. The hood, front fenders, doors, and lower rear quarters were covered. The car has a $10,000 Lexis Pearl paint job. It slightly changes colors depending on the lighting and angle of view. It’s not dramatic because that’s not what I was after. I wanted subtle changes in the iridescence and that’s what it has.  Please let your car enthusiast friends know about it. Thank you, J. D.
